Let's You and Me, River, Run Down to the Sea

We went to the river this weekend, and had a glorious time fishing and biking.  Confession: actually the only shoes I brought were these athletic shoes.  The weather was gorgeously spring-like, and little violets were peeking through.

I Haven't Been Everywhere

The Second Hand Unwinds

I've had this under-sweater - light gray with pale pink hearts - for a while now, and I love it, but the shape is a little difficult, and the colors aren't super flattering, so I struggle with how to wear it (as one does, I suppose, for such an item.)  Today I layered another sweater over it.  I'm all shades of blue again, with a little dollop of pastels.

Japanese

 

I had the morning off, and my husband took me out for Japanese for lunch.  Here's what I wore, plus a fox purse (pictured below.)  It's cold and windy, but the rain has let up for a bit!

Green Dresses

My favorite!  From Modcloth.  It's a little expensive for me, though, at the moment.  I'll keep an eye on it and maybe it will go on sale eventually.

Currently Obsessed With... You Are Here Mugs

You Are Here mugs from Starbucks, each only sold (by Starbucks) at the location pictured on the mug.  Re-sold through various merchants online including amazon and ebay.  All images per starbucks-city-mugs.com.

First up - San Francisco!  Because we visited last fall on a trip that also included the Redwood National and State Parks, and it was all amazing.

Winter Queen

This is a Modcloth dress I got on clearance for less than $25 after Christmas (I am in love with the snowflakes and the various animals around the hem.)  The necklace is a ribbon tie with purple stones in an ombre pattern, from Loft via Poshmark.  Together they make me feel like the Queen of Winter.

Afternoon Sparkle And Glow

I love wearing this sequined tee on sunny afternoons - I see little red reflections everywhere I go.  The earrings are very sparkly too, though it was difficult to capture.

Come to Me, My Sweetest Friend

I have the day off from work today for Presidents' Day, and it's all comfy flannel and comfy jeans.  There's a little patch of February daffodils right next to our property.

Full-On Valentine's

It's a cold, rainy Valentine's Day.  I was a little surprised at church not to see anyone besides me, my daughter, and another elementary-aged girl a few pews down in full-on Valentine's -  everyone else was wearing black or olive.

Alpine Love

I'm not quite sure why this outfit reminds me of my fantasy Swiss Alps.  It's a beautiful sunny day, and cold!  This saturated red wool sweater is so cheerful with the saturated blue dress.

Keep on Layering

When you're home sick from work but still have to get dressed for a parent-teacher conference.

I tried another scarf look today, and I'm really pleased with it.

Hearts and Flowers

This cute dress with roses was $10 on clearance from Kohls.  The neckline doesn't play well with a regular bra, but that issue is easily circumvented with a little sweater, or, in this case, a t-shirt.
